LOWER RAIL FREIGHTS
DISCRIMINATION ALLEGED A MEETING'S PROTEST (Per Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., (his .lay. A. mooting of the cxeculiyo of the Wellington and West Coast Dairy Companies Association resolved to protest against the provision regarding tbe carriage of butter and cheese appearing in Gazette No. 27, which fixes lower railage charges on long distances, which arrangement is deemed to have been made in the interests of one dairy company, and which is disadvantageous to all dairy companies in Wellington province. It was also resolved that a further meeting of the exocutivc be held to lake steps to combat the arrangement, members of Parliament for the district covered by the association to attend such meeting and discuss what future action should lie taken,
