DAY OF MOTION
THE NOISY SABBATH ARCHBISHOP’S COMMENT {Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, October 5. The sixty-first Church Conference! opened at Southport, the general subject under discussion being the Eternal Spirit. The Archbishop of York expressed the opinion that modern religion is too noisy and talkative. We failed, lie said, to adapt ourselves to the rapid increase of mechanical motion in the world. The haste and 1 noise of that motion is in our souls. The day of rest became a day of motion. The Church must make a way of escape from this noise and haste.
