WATCHES PILLAGED
CASE SEALS INTACT (Per Pres? Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. The firm of Messrs J. Hock and Go. on taking delivery of a case ,that originally contained oMS watches found the case had been pillaged of 388 watches, valued at £125. The twelve seals were in proper condition, and the empty cardboard boxes remained a Iso. Two large cobble stones had evidently been used to make up the weight shortage. The indications point to the pillage taking place before the case left Antwerp.
