CUM I’l-AIN'T FBOM BULLISH. PREMIER CRITICISED. (Per Press Association.) WESTPORT, last night. Ai (In- Bullcr Progress League’s meeting to-night, Mr. H. E. Holland, Leader of the Opposition, gave an address dealing with, district matters, referring chiefly to the Bullcr Gorge railway, the- coastal road, Westport Harbor Board Amendment Bill, Westland Coal Fields Reserves Amendment Bill, and river erosion. He particularly stressed, the fact that whilst in the districts of many Reform members the votes on the Estimates were exceeded, 4 only very small amounts of votes for the Bullcr Gorge railway and coastal road were expended, although. Mr. Coates had stated as Minister for Public Works, and later as Prime Minister, that he placed the Bullcr railway as the most important of the new works to be completed. The speaker urged electors to press for the expenditure of the full amounts voted. At the conclusion the speaker was accorded a hearty vote of thanks.
