THE HIGH AND THE LOW. MESSAGE FROM AEHOPLANE SYDNEY, September 16. * The possibilities of wireless appear to bo illimitable. A few days ago a programme was broadcasted from the bottom of a colliery, 3000 ft. under Sydney Harbor. Now Mr. Lawrence Halbert has transmitted for listehers-in a graphic description of his emotions, from an altitude of 10,0C0ft. in an aeroplane piloted by one of the Commonwealth Government's airmen. It is claimed that this is not only the first occasion on which broad, casting from an aeroplane has been successfully carried out in Australia, but that a world's record was established by transmitting at a height of 10,000 ft. The messages were sent out by means of an aerial 150 ft. long, and suspended by weights from the aeroplane.
