To-morrow afternoon, starting at 1.30 o'clock, an auction sale of high-grade furniture and sundries will be held at 89, Stanley road, en account of Mr. N. G. -Rogers. ». A sale of general interest to farmers will be held at Bushmcre tg.-morrow, when a clearing sale will.be conducted on behalf of-Mr. A.'-N. Jones, by Messrs. Daigety an-d Co. ' A wide .range of .stock and implements, will .be .submitted. -To-day Mr. Baumberg handed over to the Maori . Queen Committee cash fro 100 tickets.for the merry-go-round, together .with 100 tickets'to be given to the. children of the -Creche. The merry-go-round season will conclude on Friday night, when it is expected that the biggest, session yet held will eventuate, half of.the proceeds going to the Maori Queen Committee. The public and those who have procured tickets for the gymnasium display organised in connection with the Y.M.C.A. and Y.W.C.A. classes are notified that owing,to unforeseen circumstances an alteration has been made by thg committee. TJ\t display will be the. largest ever held in Gisborne and. of a verv spectacular nature, and it is hoped the public will give every encouragement to those who are direfcting and nerformiiur in this important youth work. .Residents of Puhn and surrounding district will be treated to a concert of exceptional merit on Thursday next, when a party of Sunshine artists headed by Mr. Bill MacClure. will appear. After the concert, a dance will be held, the music for which will be played by Mrs Heeney's orchestra. Supper will be provided by members of the Town Queen executive. As I the.proceeds of the concert and dance will lie us.ed for the purpose of erecting a first-class swimming pool in Gisborne, it is hoped that the project will be heartily supported.
