MINISTER NOT FAVORABLE MANY DIFFICULTIES (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. In reference to the deputation from the Dominion Conference of the Farmers' Union which waited on him on August 6 for the. purpose, of making representations as to the. necessity of establishing a. Wool Control Jsoard in New Zealand, the Minister replies that he hfte gone, carefully into the matter from all points of view. As,a result he is not at all satislied that if will be in the interests of wool-growers to establish such a, board. The conditions under which wool is marketed is different to a marked extent from those existing with meat and dairy: produce, on* most important feature being that a very "largo proportion of the wool is soldi in the Dominion, each individual grower thus having an opportunity of seeing his wool sold, accepting the price, offered, or withdrawing. While appreciating the fact that it is desirable to do everything passible to further the legitimate" interests of woolgrowers, the Minister is of the opinion that the union should further examine the position, particularly from the point of view of what actual difficulties or disabilities exist at the present time in connection with wool marketing, and whether the establishment of a board is necessary to overcome.,them. ,
