A communique announces they specially examined the Franco-German relations as defined in the Locarno Pact, in conjunction with the Thory negotiations. M. Briand told pressmen that the conversation, like (hat of Sir Austen Chamberlain with .Mussolini, was only contributable to the maintenance and consolidation of peace. The Leghorn discussions related to Anglo-Italian questions outside general politics. "Sir Austen Chamberlain and myself," lie said "are in perfect accord. Our policy is direct conversations with, the object of reducing to a minimum the risks of conflict, and to enable the Locarno pact to be followed by a network of peace throughout Kurope."
