WFSTKRN AUSTRAL!AN RAILWAYS. PERTH, September 23. The Assembly affirmed the necessity for converting the Frcmantle-Kalgoovlie railway to standard gauge. The Premier said that such expenditure was more truly national than the, £20,000,000 proposed on housing schemes.. The cost- of conversion wax' estimated in 1922 at £5,030,000.
