VALUE OF NEWSPAPERS CHEAPER POSTAGE WANTED (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) LONODN, Sept,. 29. The Hon. W. 11. Trigg, a New Zealand Legislative Councillor, in a letter to the Times suggests that the Imeprial Conference should consider reducing newspaper postage to a uniform rate of a penny, irrespective of weight. He says this would be beneficial, not only to British trade, but would offer the best means of spreading a wider knowledge) of (lie Empire and strengthening the common ties of sympathy and affection.
