Mr Frank Hurley, general manager of the Mercantile and General Insurance Co., is at present visiting Gisborne. Mr. L. Hardie, manager of the Te Puke branch of the Union Bank of Australia, has received notice of transfer to Te Araroa.
Mr J. Vigor Brown left Napier yes; terday for Wellington, from whence he proceeds to Australia, whero he will spend the next two months in Melbourne and Sydney.
Mr. P. S. Cabot, the well-known Otago, South Island, and All Black footballer, has beejn re-elected president of thd Otago University Students' Associa. tion for the third time in succession. Mr. Cabot, who is on the staff of the Otago Boys' High School, is captain of the University A team which recently won the Otago Rugby Union championship and the Payne trophy. He is a graduate of Otagb University and is an honors candidate this year, specialising in education.
