ENGLISH MOTOR MISHAP
VICAR SERIOUSLY INJURED.
AUCKLANDERS 1 IN CAR
In a rdllisiou tit Deopdalc Bridge, Patter'dale. in the English Lake district, oil July 26, between a motor ear and a motor cyclist, the Rev. A. Forrest, vicar of Ralston, near Carlisle, was seriously injured. The car was being driven by Mr. F. Leighton, of Auckland’, and contained Mr. F. i\l. Nairn, also of Auckland, with Mrs. Leighton and Mr, Nairn's hub her and sister. At a hend at Deopdalc Bridge, tlie car collided ivilh a motor cycle driven by Mr. Forrest with 1 1 its son on the pillion. The vicar was thrown heavily and sustained serious injuries to his head and legs, ami nis condition, says the Yorkshire Post, was regarded 1 as critical. Dr. Byrd, of Rattevdalc, and two nurses rendered assistance, and the injured man was taken to hospital
