DEBENTURE DISPUTE AMICABLY SETTLED (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.! (deceived September 4, 11 a.m.) MONTREAL, September 3.
Sir Henry Thornton, commenting on the settlement of the Grand Trunk Pacific debenture dispute in London said: "Apart from the legal aspects, the situation existing was one opposed, in my opinion, to the best interests of the Dominion and, moreover, there might be involved evon broader Imperial considerations. 1 feel not only that the railway, but the Empire, has been well served by an amicable settlement being reached."
