RACE CLUBS CO-OPERATE.
.MEETINGS ON ONE COURSE. As the result of negotiations' the Oamaru Racing and Trotting Clubs have decided to co-operate and hold their meetings on the racecourse. The Trotting Club agreed to spend £ for .£ with the Racing Club up to £4OOO on improvements, and the alteration,, erection or removal of buildings. In explaining the position Mr. H. S. Orboll said the Racing Club during the past five years bad suffered a loss of .£3400. or nearly £7OO a year. On the other hand, the Trotting Club has made substantial profits.
