RESULT GF BOMBARDMENT.
LONDON, June 3. The Haifa correspondent of The Times estimates that in the recent bombardment of Damascus 1600 buildings were destroyed, and of 1000 persons who were killed GOO bodies re-, main under the debris which the authorities refuse to allow to be re-
moved. "~ The damage to property is estimated at £700,000. Portion of the business centre was razed. The poorer inhabitants were not warned. The French did not participate in the* -bombardment, which was confined to Armenians, Circassians, and looters and incendiaries. The refugees number 12,000.
