In a statement, to-day, Sir Maui Pomare. as a result, of his recent visit to the leper station at Mnkogai, drans
attention to some, urgent requirements, including wireless and an ice plant, and makes appeal for a ball in which to iristal a cinema already provided. He also asks i'or funds for a rest homo For the nursing sisters of the Order of .Mary, whose work and devotion is worthy of all help. There are now over ACQ lepers on the island, including about ICO from Samoa, the Cook Islands, Nine, and a few from 'New Zealand.
