fPet Vrt*s Association.* WELLINGTON, this day. * Two prisoners, William Tasnmn Morris and James William Tasman Morris, relatives, escaped from the Wi Tako prison at. Trentham yesterday. One was re-eaptured about midnight by warders at Upper Butt, and the other early this morning, about twelve miles north, of Upper 'Hull. John Letieu, already serving six months' gaol for the theft of a diamond ring from a city jeweller's shop, having substituted a paste ring for it, was to-day sentenced to a further si:> months for the theft of another diamond ring, which he "palmed" in Julia Coitmau's.shop two days before the other theft. He sold Coltmau's ling to ii second-hand dealer, Samuel GltuW, who was charged with failing to enter the date of purchase and was lined £5.
