menf was informed this morning that when the Limited Express, which left Auckland last evening, was between Taonui and Bunnylhorpc, if struck a piece of firewood on the track. No damage was done. After investigation if was found that the wood had fallen from a goods train. The incident was purely accidental and was in no way connected with the recent attempt at train wrecking.
