SET-BACK TO EXTREMISTS', “There is little unemployment in Australia at tlio present moment,” said Sir Henry Bill-well, ex-Prcmier of South Australia, in an interview with a Dunedin pressman. Extremists of the Communist type hail caused considerable industrial disturbance, during the previous two years. The Government took drastic action to suppress litis, and, feetihg that greater power was necessary than that which present legislation gave, an appeal was made to the country upon this issue. The overwhelming support that was given to the Bruce-Page Government showed strongly the feeling of Australian citizens against extremists, and in favor of a strong constitutional Government.
