A special representative inquired at St. i James’ Palqge whether the Prince of Wales would respond to a Parisian newspaper’s appeal to the Prince, as undisputed ladev of fashion to revive tlio custom of carrying an umbrella if only in the interest of Hie parents of veiling Fl'c’neliinen, who are forced to pav heavy bills lor spoiled clothes. The representative, was officially informed that the Prince carried an umbrella when the weather was wet, and not when it was. dry.
