•SEQUEL TO DRUNKEN BOUT
A formidable series of charges was preferred against a middle-aged man. John Daly, alias Patrick Keane, win appeared before Mr. E. Lowry, S.M.. -it the .Magistrate’s ('null this morning. Tim accused was found helplessly drunk in Gladstone road on Saturday last, and this formed the* primary charge. At the time he was on probation and side jo:-t to a prohibition order, and lids r< suited in two more charges. The fuurtn and final charge -was onc> of committing mischief by wilfully damaging a padded cell to the value of £l. The defendant pleaded guilty to all charges. 'Senior-Sergeant Fitzpatrick staled that e-ailv this month the accused had been I'icom the Court for the theft of money. He was then admitted to probation and prohibited. He went up the toast, and obtained work with the Pnb’ie Works Department, hut while there the prohibition order was honored more in the breach than in the observance.
