TWO BURNED TO DEATH.

FATE OF MOTHER AND DAUGHTER. BRISBANE, Oct. 10.—A terrible burning accident occurred at Biarra, about four miles from Toogooiuwab, late yesterday afternoon. As a result, a married woman and her baby daughter are dead, and a man who attempted to rescue them is in hospital in a serious condition. Airs Roscntrelcr intended to clean some windows. For this purpose she put a cupful of benzine into a bucket. The bucket was taken to a stove, a.nd Mrs Roscntrcter began to fill it with boiling water. The fumes of the benzine were set alight by the heat of the stove, and, the flames spread to the bucket, at "the• same time setting alight to Mrs Rosentreter’s clothing. Thomas Braithwait’e, who was working on the fami, ; rushed to her assistance, and tried to extinguish the flames, being badly burned in the process. While lie was doing this Mrs Rosentreter’s baby daughter came into' the kitchen and walked near the bucket. Her clothing burst into flames. Biaithwaite eventually sue ceded in quelling the flames on both the mother and daughter, and the ambulance was called from Toogoolawali. The three were taken to hospital, where the baby died soon after admission. Mrs Rosentrcter died this morning. Braithwaite is in a serious condition. ' ,
