MANCHESTER UNITY ODDFELLOWS

The fortnightly meeting of Manchester Unity Oddfellows was hold last night, the attendance being spoilt by the bad weather and counter Attractions. After the usual lodge, business had been disposed of the members and friends enjoyed a pleasant game of euchre. Bro, C. Carmichael was the. winner of the men, while Bister Staples and Sister Andersqn tied for the Indies. Sister Anderson, who was the winner on the last occasion, expressed the wish that Sister Staples should have the trophy. Bro. K, J. McKay, N.G., then presented the trophies, and hoped they would serve to remind them of the sisfc annivarsary of the Loyal Gisborne Lodge, The report, from the committee regarding tho chemist was received, the members being thanked for their report, which was adopted and is to come into force on December 1. Next lodge night nominations of officers will bo received.

Members desirous of taking office must be in attendance or a letter in writing stating willingness to accept if elected is to be forwarded. The report on behalf of sick visitors showed that steady progress was being made with several very bad cases. No members are at present, in hospital.
