Lucky Dunedin L It has the cheapest gas, trams, andelectric power of any city in New Zealand. For the six months ended on September 30 the not profit on the Dunedin trams was £7152, or nearly double the profit on them for a similar period last year. In his annual report, the chairman of the finance committee of the Dunedin city trading departments said that the tramway department was called upon to Pear heavy capital expenditure on extensions and motor-’buses. This would mean additional running expenses, interest, and other charges, but during the next, few months the revenue should increase. The committee was glad to sa.v that its financial policy had produced results which were So beneficial to tho citizens of Dunedin.
