A FATAL BRAWL.
AUSTRALIANS v. ITALIANS. lElec. Tel. Copjritjh! United Press Assn.(Received Oct. 27, 2 p.m.) HOBART, Oct. 27. Following oil an altercation with a number of Italians, William Quinn, John Davis, and a number of other young men visited the Italians’ home at Linda, and broke the windows. A melee followed, in which Quinn was fatally stabbed, and Davis seriously wounded, while several other Australians suffered minor injuries. One Italian was arrested. The brawl was the outcome of racial feeling, which had been simmering for a long time. Local inhabitants resent the employment of Italians in North Lyell mine.
