A very interesting lecture by Mr G. O. K. Sninsbury, principally on the Chattels Transfer Act, was Well attended. Mr F. Felton, an old resident of Dunedin is spending a few weeks holiday in Wairoa. and Morere.

The Masonic ball held in the Gaiety Theatre last week was largely attended, the whole of the programme being carried out on a lavish scale.
