Jacob Gunziger, a watchmaker, who celebrated his hundredth birthday a week ago, refused to leave his bed, declaring that as he had a long journey before him he wanted a long rest before starting, died yesterday. Gunziger had suffered from consumption since youth. He lost one lung at the age of twenty-six, whop the doctors only gave him a year to live. Gunziger declared that the doctors would precede him to the cemetery. He studied the treatment of bis malady and took the greatest care of itis health. He followed his trade till a few years ago.
