LAUNCH ON THE ROCKS.

PARTY SCRAMBLE ASHORE,

On Saturday, the 13th inst., (telegraphed the Star’s Rawcne correspondent), a small launch manned by Makjarimi ti Tori, Harry Rangi and EdwArd Beazley, junr., took a Maori woman (Mrs Pouaka) down, to Motuti. They * ' landed their passengeT safely, but upon the return journey the engine broko down, and, as it was blowing hard with ' a rough sen, they were soon blown on .to the rocks'at Motukauri Point, where a'hole- was quickly knocked into the little craft, and she filled with water.
