FROST BURSTS WATER TAPS,

..Southland is experiencing ail extremely fine winter and fanners want rain. ’ On Saturday fourteen degrees of frost- was recorded and a large number of taps hurst, over a million and a half gallons of water being lost. In order to conserve the supply, water had toobe cut off in some parts of the town.
