N.Z. MEAT PRODUCERS’ BOARD.

FLECTION OF PRODUCERS’ REPRESENTATIVES.

An advertisement appears in our columns to-day dealing with the election of three producers’ representatives on the New Zealand Meat Producers’. Board. / !

The regulations upder which the election is conducted provide that the various districts shall elect twenty-five delegates who will constitute an electoral committee which will assemble in August and elect the producers’ representatives. In view of the requests from producers and: to promote further interest in the election, the Board has reduced the she of the various electoral districts, so that this year there are ten districts instead of six as ! was the case last year. This will result in the candidates being known by a greater proportion of the electors of the district

The number of delegates and the boundaries of the various districts are set out in the advertisement. The latest official sheep returns (which at present are those at 30th April, 1924) shall ho the electoral roll. Every sheepowner on this list having one hundred sheep or over shall ho entitled to vote for delegates to the electoral committee. Nominations for delegates on the electoral committee or for producers’ representatives may he made by any two lilieep-Camnors' appearing on the official sheep returns as owning noli less-thaw one hundred sheep. Forms; of nominations are obtainable at the ‘Board’s office, Wellington. Nominations for delegates to the electoral committee will be received at the

Board’s office, Wellington, up to noon on the 16th July, 1925, whilst nominations for producers' representatives on the Board will he received' up to noon on the lot 1 1 August, 1925. In accordance with the provisions of the Meat Export Control Act, the members of the Board who are to retire in August, are Messrs J. C. N. Grigg, Longbeach; J. S. Jessep, IVairoa; and W. Berry, Mastertou These gentlemen offer themselves for re-election as producers’ representatives on the Board.
