DAIRY PRODUCE.

POSITION REGARDED AS SATISFACTORY. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, March 1. The position of the butter ‘market generally is regarded as satisfactory, for, though visible supplies from New Zealand anj Australia are still heavy, the total due to arrive within the next six weeks is about eight hundred thousand boxes. Tho total imports for 3Vlarch-April will he smallor than in January-February, and the demand both at. Home and on the Continent continues strong. Germany, France, Belgium, Holland and' Ireland are all buying Colonial butter, and the demand seems likely to be maintained on the Continent, 'so long as the disparity in prices between Danish and New Zealand and Australian butters continues. Continental buyers will naturally prefer to pn.y 176 s for New Zealand 1 rather than 226 s for Danish, which is little, if any, better in quality.
