DOMINIONS ’ PEYEI,OPMEXT. DISAPPOINTING RESULTS. (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, Feb. 2.1. The House of Commons agreed to :i financial resolution increasing the amount of loans under the Trade Facilities Act for which Government guarantees may he given from Jdti;l.ooo,(Kill to £7.I,(HHM)Ou. Air. Hilton Young suggested (he appointment of a sub-eommiltee endowed with initiative to work in eonjunction with the (Colonial Office, and deal with tho Dominions’ development schemes. * In this connection some disappointment prevailed. Air. Guinness pointed out that the Colonial Office had a representative on the Dominions’ Committee. He thought that the disappointing results wore due to the fact that the facilities were not fully appreciated in the Dominions, from whom it was hoped applications would come. The appointment of Air. Sheldon and Air. AlcDougall virtually completes the Economic Committee, an early meeting of which is contemplated. One of the first tasks will lie the allocation of Air. Baldwin’s £1,000,000 subvention for improving the marketing of Empire goods.
