NEW BRITISH PLANE CAN CRUISE FOR SEVERAL DAYS. LONDON, Jan. 14.—Tests are proceeding at Felixtowo of the world’s largest boat seaplane. With engines of 3000 horse-power the plane is capable of cruising for many days and carrying several tons of bombs and a crew of six, at a speed of one hundred miles an hour. Fishermen have just killed a giant shark, in the stomach of which was found the jewels and turban which Senorita Rivas was wearing at the timo of her death. INDIA BOUSED BY EXPORT OF MONKEYS. LONDON, Jan. 14.—The native extremist papers of India have started a campaign against the wholesale exportation of monkeys, which has reachd remarkable dimensions in recent months, according to the Daily Telegraph’s Calcutta correspondent. He predicted that this activity will 'arouse angry feelings among the Hindoos, millions of whom worship monkeys. The writer declares the traffic is exciting widespread interest and the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is taking action regarding it.
