KAHUTrA CLUB. The green was in excellent order foi yesterday’s play, and the weather being good, enticed a. large number of members and visitors to the Kahutia, Bowling Club's green. A commencement was made with the Leslie Scaled .Handicap Bairs, which has drawn a, large entry, and promises to prove a most interesting content, ail Iho teams being out to beat each other by as much as- possible, in view of the uncertainty of the handicap. Another very interesting competition being played .is cine for the skips of the Dan Barry Memorial Shield fours and members of the executive, for a prize preseiiled by Mr. L. P. Clarke. As 20 were eligible to coin pole, it, was decided to play pairs, 11 beads, on occasions hot to interfere with other games. POVERTY* BAY CLUB. There was a large attendance on the given yesterday afternoon, including several visitors and a number of ladies. Two matches, in the McGib'bon Clip were got off. The .game between Wilson’s and Wilkinson’s tejuns laid a very interesting ending. The score on the 20th hwni was: Wilson 19. Wilkinson 18. When the skips went down on the 21st head, Wilson was lying 3, and lie drew another. Wilkinson with his first bowl trailed “kitty” and Jay 4.
