RETAIL PRICES IN THREE FOOD CROUPS.

The index number for the three food groups us at October 15th is 1557, an increase of 6 points ovej" that for Hie previous month (155.1) and of 45.51 per cent, over that for July, 1914. The decrease of 14 points in the groceries group- is caused mainly by falls in the prices of.potatoes and oatmeal in several towns.
