The usual meeting of the Loyal Gishorne Lodge 60U7 was held iast night. A huge amount, of business was transacted. The in: Matron ceremony was well carried out )>y the- olliccrs on two aclulL male members, both of whom bid fair to become very active in (he lodge. The installation of officers was then proceeded with, Bro. C. fl. Ambridge, P.D.G.M., being the installing officer, Bros. Schwabe and f J arris, fast, Grand*, being conductors—l.P.N.C, Bro. C. 1). McKay; N.G., Bro. F. Hamilton Jones; V.G., Bro. It. J. McKav: E.S.. Bro. V. {'. Uothwell: Warden'. Sister I*'. IS. Ambridge; Guardian, Sister I'. Williamson. The officers having been duly installed and invested with their collars of office, the honors of the* Order were enthusiastically given by the members present, after which the officers suitably thanked tho members for honors conferred, and pledged themselves to give of (heir very best during their term of office. A very hearty vote was accorded Bro. Geo. A. Holmas, P. 0., who for several years has held the important office of Guardian, and is always in his place. However, tho. Noble Grand knows his value .and secured his services as pupporter, with Bro. W. K. Robb, P. 0., so ho should be. well supported during his present term as ehiof. It was resolved that, the lodge meet as usual during Christmas week, as several candidates nominated aro keon to become members. The sick visitors' report stated that several members were at present in hospital, two under X-rays treatment, on a having been sen*, specially from Wairoa. There were also reports of sickness from Hastings and Pukekoho. A vote of sympathy was passed to Bro. J. T. Hamilton, of Ngatapa, on tho recant death of his falfier, members passing same by rising, in silence.
