RUNAWAY HORSES STOPPED

When stating the facts, in a charge against the owner of a buggy and pair, which bolted on July 18, of having left the animals unattended, Sub-Inspectdr Hollis paid a tribute to the daring and initiative of Constable Marsh, xvho, at great personal risk, had rim out to tho runaways, and despite the danger had jumped into the waggon and managed to get the animals under control and .stop them. The Sub-inspector said lie had highly commended the constable’s action, and the commendation had already been endorsed by Inspect or Emerson. The magistrate said (hat it was very pleasing to know that the constable’s conduct had been favorably commented 'Upon, and lie added his own commendation of Constable Marsh’s prompt and meritorious action.
