OBITUARY.
The announcement of the death of Miss Rosie, of Stout Street, which occurred at Gisborne this morning, wfll be received with deep regret by a wide Circle of friends throughout the district. The deceased lady, who experienced hut :i brief illness, underwent a serious opera- •' tion yesterday, and passed tfway peacefully this morning. The late Miss Rosie was born in Scotland, and came out to New Zealand with her parents many years back. The family settled in Gisborne about 45 years ago. Miss Rosie was engaged in An active business life until about five years past. She was of a quiet! retiring disposition, and was beloved by many friends, having associated herself with Christian work in the community and missionary enterprise in many foreign fields. The'interment will lie of a private, nature. Much sympathy will be extended to the relatives of the family, who are mainly resident at - Gisborne.
