ASSISTANCE TO INVENTORS. GREAT FACTOR FOR PEACE. LONDON, July 8. —Air. George Taylor, of Sydney, when addressing a conference of delegates from all parts of the world convened to consider power problems, urged that every encouragement should be given to inventors. Increased research, he said, would be one of the greatest factors for peace, and would enable the would to recover opportunities wasted l during war-time. The Australian Inventions Encouragement Board’s scheme to assist and advise' inventors to use discoveries for the benefit of both the nation and themselves, said Mr. Taylor, was the best way to develop inventive skill. The League of Nations should secure death-dealing inventions, with a. view to their use for constructive instead of destructive purposes. All nations should co-operate in solving power problems in order to promote the prosperity and happiness of bu inanity.
