IMPERIAL WIRELESS.
SOLUTION OF LONG-STANDING PROBLEM.
WORK TO BE BEGUN WITHOUT DELAY.
(Sydney Sun Cables.) (Received* May 8, 11 a.m.) LONDON, May 7. It is understood that when the Cabinet Committee's wireless report is published at the end of the week it will reveal that the Government has decided as a matter of ilrgency to create an Empire wireless clibin. It is stated on high authority that Cabinet has found a, solution of the long-standing difficulties between the Post Office and the Marconi Company, enabling .work to be begun without delay in the construction of stations throughout the Empire. The commercial necessity for speedier communication was not the sole factor influencing the Government's decision. Outspoken comments of Dominion newspapers regarding the Government's attitude concerning preference and Singapore also had an effect, and Mr. MacDonald is anxious for warmer and more cordial relations.
