It was announced at a meeting at the Mansion House in support of the British Empire cancer campaign, that an anonymous donor had given twenty thousand pounds sterling. The Empire cancer campaign was publicly inaugurated at a large meeting at the Mansion House. The Duke of York presiding. Subscriptions thus far total £89,000.
