At. the A'ddingitom market the yarding to-day of fait* cattle and sheep was one of the largest, on record, due, no doubt, to the burst, of winter la'st week making holders of forward stock apprehensive about feed resources. Stove sheep: Old ewes predominated and there wnls a\ good sale for all qnaltay sheep, particularly wethers. Special steers made from J3lB to £2O; -good £l2 to £ls; medium £8 to £11; prime heifers £7 to £lO 15s; prime cows £6 10s to £lO ss. VeaQers: Some good station lines were forward and sold well. Runnel's £5 to £6; good vealers £3 16s to £4; good ca'lves £2 to £3 ss; small calves 5s to 255.

Store cattle: There was a heavy yarding, mostly of poo.r class and a- fair sale. .Some 3-year steers made up to £5 10s. Dairy cows: There was a large yarding aind springers sold well, cows making up to £ll and heifers to £lO 10s; inferior down to 30s.

Fat pigs. - There was a' good entry, ffcitoners sold firmlly. but porkers we're weaker. The average price of bacon per lb was 6d to 6^l; porkers to B£d. Store pigs: There was a slack sale. Large stores 40s; medium 26s to 30s; slips 11» to 14s. AUCKLAND, last night.

Sheen: There was ain average yarding which sold under steady competition at Me rates. Heavy prime wethers made 37s 9d to 38s 9d; medium 36s to 37s 6d; light, 34s (to 35s 9d; smaller and unfinished 30s to 33s 9d; heavy prim? owes 31s 3d to 33s 9d : medium 29s to 31s; light 26s 6d to 28s 6d ; inferiority fatted ewes 18s to 255.
