DAIRY CONTROL BOARD.
SHIPPING AND OTHER MATTERS.
(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, last night
The Dairy Control Board which met in Wellington to-day received a request to remit the levy cm exports lo the Pacific Islands. It was decided that no exceptions could bo made.
A conference took place with the National and South Island Dairy Association on shipping matters. It was decided the Association should continue the detail work until the Board’s organisation was complete.
Messrs. Grounds, Thacker, and Motion were appointed overseas delegates, and will leave in April via America for Britain and the Continent, to investigate every business aspect in conjunction with distributing agencies. While the.delegation is away. Mr. W. A. torus will act as chairman of the Control Board.
In regard to occasional shipping service to the Near East, it was reported that, a committee had been appointed to act with the Meat Board to arrange the next shipping contract.
