ORMOND SPORTS.

ADDITIONAL. RESULTS. The inaugural meeting of the Ormond District Sports Club was brought, to .a successful conclusion yesterday, the lengthy programme proceeding without hitch throughout the day. Despite the comparatively rough condition of the trucks, particularly for the cycle events, no difficulty was experienced by the competitors. On the other hand, some very good times were recorded. The dance which was held in the Ormond Hall in the evening was a fitting conclusion to the day’s proceedings; 1 here being a- large attendance, and the hall being well li 1 led with couples. The music, which was supplied by Sharpies’ jazz band, was all that could he desired. Additional results were as follows: Schoolboys’ cycle race, 1 mile (6 entries) : C. Breingan 1, J. Bishop 2. The cup, presented by Mr. Fred Gray for the runner getting mos.t points in tho amateur 100. and 440 yards, was won by Grant McDonald, while the Kirk medal for the runner-up in the same events was won by 0. Pall ridge. The cup presented by Mr. Norman Law for tbe open leaping competition was won by It. Gillman, who also annexed Mr. Robson’s gold medal for the most points in the hors-o events. C. Ilindrup won Mr. Tu_Haapus cup for the hunters’ jump; N. Rum the Stonoham cup for the consolation jump; and A. R. Hino Mr. T. Quirk's cup tor the- maiden jump. In tho cycle events Mr. A. Buckingham’s; gold medal for flic winner of the Erls’ cycle race went to Miss Ida Buckuighani, while Mr. Allan Sutton’s gold medal tor the winner of tlic mte open was won by C. McCoy.
