TEMUKA, last night. One of the most disastrous fires in Temuka for many years occurred this afternoon, when the business premises of Rates, painter and paperhangcr, were completely destroyed with stocks and fittings. The tire was aided by a'.strorip nor'-wester, and assistance was no! available for some time owing to the holidays. The building was ' insured for £750 and the stock for £2150. j AUCKLAND, last night. A fire occurred at the East Tamak: Co-operative Dairy Company']] factory on Monday night, the building and plant being destroyed. The. factory was one of the most up-to-date, in Auckland province and its loss is a severe blow to the farmers.
