(Australian aud N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, Dec. 51.Sir James Allen's negotiations with M. Spahlinger are in abeyance pending, the New Zealand Parliamentary committe's examination of the scheme.
(Received January 2, 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. I. It is reported that a combination is being formed at Swansea, representing between forty and sixty per cent, of tho tinplate industry, to establish a central selling agency tor the whole output, ot tinplate works controlled by Richard Thomas and Company, and tho Gravesand Steel and Tinplate Company, which tho Thomas Company recently acquired. The new company will have a million pounds capital, and will'handle the output of nearly 230 mills. It is reported that, further amalgamations of tinplate mills in Swansea, district is probable.
