BRISBANE, Jan. 1. Foster Bone, a New Zealand solicitor, was charged at the Police Court with, stealing £SO from Robert Posterj at Kawakawa. The arresting policeman stated that Bone first denied his identity and then confessed te the charge, and added that the amounts involved, totalled £6OO. "I am sorry for it," accused said. "Foster is onel of my best friends." Accused was remanded. Bail was allowed conditional on Bone reporting daily.
BRISBANE, Jan. 2. The three prohibited Japanese] who escaped from the lugger Atholi, wire recaptured after a prolonged search. The arrested men welcomed capture, as they were starving through people declining to harbor them in view of alien restriction penalties. PERTH, Jan. 2.
