PEACE SHIELD TOURNAMENT. The animal tournament for the Peace Shield was started yesterday morning, under ideal weather conditions, but shortly after play commenced a high wind'sprang up/and both on tho Ulsborno and Poverty Bay greens play was very diflicult-. Despite this fact."some excellent bowling was witnessed, and mi the first clay's play it is hard to predict the. probable winner of the handsome shield. Mr. J.
