LIBERAL-LABOR- OPPOSITION.-
(Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. At a campaign planned at a caucus of the Liberal-Labor party this Week, it , was decided to embark on an intensive : campaign in the country at a date hot yet decided. It may, however, be taken for granted that. members of the Lib-eral-Labor Opposition will only wait until the Christmas, and New Year hoik days are over before placing before the country their views on the sessional happenings, and the policy of the party. >■ BOARD OF TRADE REVIEWED.' The Board of Trade Amendment Bill was introduced into; tho .Legislative Council yesterday by Sir Francis Bell, at the request, of the Hon. Downie Stewart, Minister of Industries,, who recently explained to , the Lower House that the Board of Trade, having ceased, it is necessary to revive it. Tho measure confers tho powers and functions of the Board of Trade. upon .-the Minister of Industries and Commerce. • An advisory board, not exceeding'hve, may bo appointed by tho Governor-Genox£l iii Council to advipe.tbe Minister, and there are machinery clauses on the lines of the principal , Board -ot "Trade Act, 1919. The Minister may/appoint associate members, who shall be deemed to be members of the Board. The Minister may delegate to any member of/ tho Advisory Board, or any officer of the Industries Department, the powers of judicial investigation conferred on the Board of Trade.'
