The first class at the opening session of tho competitions this aflex-noon was the soprano, or mezzo-soprano solo, own selection, in which ting recalls were: .Miss Nancy Parker “I Knew Not Why") Miss O'. Greenwood (“Sin&, Joyous Bird”), Mrs. I*. A. Berry ("Aiy Dear Soul”). Also competed : Miss K. Dower (“Castilian Lament”), Mrs. J. W. Holmes ("Rosebuds”), Mbs B. Richard (“Butterfly Win is”), Miss Doi’ie Webb (“The Nightingale and the Rose”), Mrs. M. M. Graham (“Cherry Ripe"). Highland fling (under 9): Recalls — Racy Edwards, Pal. Gunn, Phyllis McGee. Also competed : Flora Johnstone, Aileen Bryan, Rayna Duncan, 'and Marie Rhone.
